Public Utilities Complaints

Telephone, Natural Gas, Electricity, or Video/Cable Provider Complaints

Consumers should first contact their provider to discuss their dispute. If a resolution cannot be reached, contact the Michigan Public Service Commission, MPSC, for help in dealing with the telephone, natural gas, electricity, or video/cable utility provider.

The State website, http://www.michigan.gov/mpsc, provides more information about Public Act 2009 004 and how to file a complaint. 

Choose the Video/Cable option from the left menu on the web page. “How do I file a complaint” link is under the consumer heading.
