Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is an elected seven member board that governs Pittsfield Charter Township.

Assessing Board of Review
The Board of Review and appropriate assessing staff work to schedule individual meetings with property owners and, based on the evidence presented, make determinations on each of the tax appeal cases, which can be further appealed with the State Tax Tribunal.

Compensation Commission
The Compensation Commission provides, biannually, a recommendation to the township Board of Trustees regarding the salaries for elected officials.

Election Commission
The Election Commission is responsible for establishing precincts, assessing voting equipment needs, providing election supplies (including ballots), appointing precinct inspectors, and carrying out other election related duties.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission was created through the authority of the Michigan Planning Enabling Act. It is responsible for implementing the township master plan and the township zoning ordinance that protects and enhances the public health, welfare, and safety.

Stormwater Management Committee
The SWMC was established in 2009 to undertake stormwater and natural resources management for Pittsfield Township and support best practices in the same.

Zoning Board of Appeals
The ZBA was created through the authority of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act to hear and decide on matters as specifically authorized in the township zoning ordinance.
