The Platt Road Greenway (PRG), installed in 2009, was the first 10' pathway in Pittsfield Township. PRG is located on the east side of Platt Road between Ellsworth Road and Michigan Avenue. On the north side, PRG connects into the City of Ann Arbor's network of sidewalks and bike lanes up through Gallup Park along the Huron River. On the east side, it connects to Pittsfield's bike network toward the commercial corridor of Carpenter Road.
The Michigan Avenue connector will provide for a 10' pathway on the south side of Michigan Avenue that will connect to the PRG. It will extend from Harwood Farms subdivision on the east to Michigan Avenue on the west thereby providing thousands of more residents access to recreational, green, retail, and commercial spaces along with Platt, Textile, and Carpenter. The Michigan Avenue connector will also provide for a non-motorized connection to the Farmers Market and transit stops located at the Pittsfield Township Administration Building at the corner of Platt & Michigan.
