[ARCHIVED] Carpenter Road Improvements Project Lane Closures beginning July 15th

The Contractor for the Carpenter Road Improvements project is scheduled to close additional lanes on Carpenter Road and Hogback Road in the Washtenaw Avenue (M-17) intersection on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. The project is currently in Stage 1 as the Contractor continues to reconstruct the west side of the road. Lane closures remain on Packard Road at the Carpenter Road intersection to facilitate the reconstruction of the pavement within the intersection. Also, Central at Carpenter Road and Crystal at Washtenaw Ave remain closed for the duration of the project. One lane for each direction on Carpenter Road and Packard Road are being maintained for the duration of the project. Access to properties within the project limits are being maintained as businesses remain open.

The posted alternate route for traffic to use is Packard Road, Golfside Road, and Washtenaw Avenue. Please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the work zone in order to maintain the safety of the road crews and the traveling public. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these improvements are completed.

Contact: Please contact Matt MacDonell, WCRC Assistant Director of Engineering, at 734.327.6688 or macdonell@wcroads.org if you have questions or concerns in regards to the project.
