[ARCHIVED] Concrete Paving to begin on Carpenter Rd between Packard & Washtenaw on 7/22/2014

The contractor for the Carpenter Road Improvements project is scheduled to begin paving the southbound lanes or west side of the roadway on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. The paving will begin on the north end of the project near the Washtenaw Ave intersection and worth south to the Packard Road intersection. Paving operations will limit driveway access to the west side of the roadway while the concrete pavement is being placed. Paving is expected to continue for the two southbound lanes or west side of the road until the end of the week, weather dependent.

The project is currently in Stage 1 as the Contractor continues to reconstruct the west side of the road. Lane closures remain on Packard Road at the Carpenter Road intersection to facilitate the reconstruction of the pavement within the intersection. The posted alternate route for traffic to use is Packard Road, Golfside Road, and Washtenaw Avenue.

Please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the work zone in order to maintain the safety of the road crews and the traveling public. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these improvements are completed.
