The contractor for the Ann Arbor-Saline Rd Improvements project is scheduled to close Eisenhower Pkwy at Ann Arbor-Saline Road on Wednesday July 23, 2014. The posted detour will use Northbrook Place and Oakbrook Drive. The project remains in Stage 2 of construction as the contractor continues to reconstruct the pavement from the eastbound I-94 ramps through the Eisenhower Parkway intersection and construct improvements on the bridge over I-94.
During the remainder of Stage 2, southbound traffic on Ann Arbor-Saline Road shall continue to use the signed detour route of Main Street, Eisenhower Parkway, State Street, Ellsworth Road, Lohr Road, and Oak Valley Drive. The northbound lanes of Ann Arbor-Saline Road remain closed between the eastbound I-94 ramps and the westbound I-94 ramps. The posted detour for northbound Ann Arbor-Saline Road is eastbound I-94, State Street, Eisenhower Parkway, and Main Street.
A separate Media Advisory will be issued when the Contractor begins Stage 3 of the project. During Stage 3 of the project, both directions of travel on Ann Arbor-Saline Road and access to all the I-94 ramps will be re-opened to traffic. Stage 3 of the project is likely to begin by mid-August, dependent on weather. Stage 3 will focus on completing the east side of Ann Arbor-Saline Road between Oak Valley Drive and the eastbound I-94 ramps. During Stage 3, the Lohr Road intersection will be closed.
The Road Commission thanks you for your continued patience as these improvements are completed.
