There will be a Primary Election held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 for the purpose of nominating candidates for Governor, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative in Congress, State Senator, Representative in State Legislature, County Commissioner, Park Commissioner, and Delegate to County Convention.
The full list of candidates can be found at washtenaw.org/elections or by contacting the Clerk’s Office for a sample ballot. You may also visit the State of Michigan Voter Information Center to view your polling location and sample ballot.
Now Hiring Election Inspectors: The Clerk's Office is currently hiring election workers for the Aug. 7th Primary Election & Nov. 6th General Election. Pay is $14.00/hour. You must be a registered voter and be capable of working from 6:00 AM until late in the evening on election day. A brief paid training is also required. Applications can be found here and the Administration Building (6201 W. Michigan Avenue).
Registration Deadline: The last day to register to vote is July 9, 2018 for the August Primary. If you have recently moved, you must update your voter registration information.
Farmers Market: On Thursday, June 28th, the Clerk's Office will be at the Farmers Market! Stop by anytime from 3-7 PM to register to vote, apply for an absent voter ballot, or to get your election questions answered.
Absentee Voting: If you would like to receive an
absent voter ballot, please contact the Clerk's Office. The deadline to receive an AV ballot by mail is August 4th at 2:00 PM.
