The Pittsfield Township Farmers Market will return to Platt and Michigan Ave beginning August 2, 2018.
Marketgoers and vendors alike will be greeted by a resurfaced parking lot offering improved pedestrian, motorized, and handicap accessibility. The market schedule will remain unchanged; open rain or shine each Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, Taste of Music kicks off the festivities for the return to Platt and Michigan Ave. Activities include the beloved Instrument Petting Zoo for kids of all ages, and a free concert in Prairie Park at 4 and 5 PM by an A2SO String Ensemble. Bring a picnic blanket and lawn chairs, and grab some dinner from Earthen Jar and Mi Compadre Taco Truck, and a tasty beverage from Kings Coffee Truck, then enjoy the music in Prairie Park. Kids will also be able to make an instrument craft at the Market Kids tent, and play I SPY a frog.
In partnership with Taste the Local Difference and edible WOW magazine, Chef Travis Schuster, Ollie Spirits, will be hosting a seasonal demo and tasting, 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Pick up a recipe card, and shop for the ingredients at the Market.
