LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE

TUESDAY, October 9, 2018

For Election to be Held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018

TO QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP:

NOTICE: Please be advised that the Pittsfield Township Clerk will be in the office to register qualified electors and amend registration records on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  The Pittsfield Township Clerk’s Office is located at 6201 W. Michigan Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. The Clerk can be reached via telephone at 734-822-3120 or via email at clerk@pittsfield-mi.gov.

IF YOU HAVE MOVED RECENTLY YOU MUST AMEND YOUR REGISTRATION RECORD.

The General Election is being held to nominate candidates for the following:

Partisan:  Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, Members of the State Board of Education, Members of the University of Michigan Board of Regents, Members of the Michigan State University Board of Trustees, Members of the Wayne State University Board of Governors, Washtenaw County Commissioner, and Pittsfield Charter Township Park Commissioners.

Non-Partisan:  Justice of the Supreme Court, Judge of the Court of Appeals, Judge of the Circuit Court, Judge of the Probate Court, Judge of the District Court, Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees, Ann Arbor School Board Members, Milan Area School Board Members, Saline Area School Board Members, Ann Arbor District Library Board Members.

Also, to vote on the following propositions:

  • STATE PROPOSAL 18-1 a proposed initiated law to authorize and legalize possession, use and cultivation of marijuana products by individuals who are at least 21 years of age and older, and commercial sales of marijuana through state-licensed retailers.  
  • STATE PROPOSAL 18-2 a proposed constitutional amendment to establish a commission of citizens with exclusive authority to adopt district boundaries for the Michigan Senate, Michigan House of Representatives and U.S. Congress, every 10 years.
  • STATE PROPOSAL 18-3 a proposal to authorize automatic and Election Day voter registration, no-reason absentee voting, and straight ticket voting; and add current legal requirements for military and overseas voting and post-election audits to the Michigan Constitution. 
  • WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL a Proposition to Renew the Tax Limitation for Parks and Recreation Purposes Including Acquisition, Development, Maintenance and Operation of Park Lands and Recreation Facilities for the Benefit of Washtenaw County Citizens.
