[ARCHIVED] Concrete Paving on Carpenter Road between Packard & Washtenaw

The Contractor for the Carpenter Road Improvements project is scheduled to begin paving the easterly northbound lane and bike lane (east side of the roadway) on Thursday, September 25, 2014.

The paving will begin on the north end of the project near the Washtenaw Ave intersection and work south to the Packard Road intersection. Paving operations will limit driveway access to the east side of the roadway while the concrete pavement is being placed. Paving is expected to continue for the outside northbound lane and bike lane (east side of the road) until the end of the week, weather dependent. After which, the Contractor will begin the paving of the concrete curb & gutter, driveways and sidewalk.

The project is currently in Stage 2 as the Contractor continues to reconstruct the east side of the road. Lane closures remain the same for the project and the posted alternate route for traffic to use is Packard Road, Golfside Road, and Washtenaw Avenue.

Please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the work zone in order to maintain the safety of the road crews and the traveling public. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these improvements are completed.
