August 4, 2020 Primary Election

New AV Ballot Envelopes
The August 4, 2020 Primary Election will be held for the purpose of electing candidates for the Offices of United States Senator, Congressional Representative; State Legislature Representative; the County Offices of Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk and Register of Deeds, Treasurer, Water Resources Commissioner, County Commissioner; Delegate to County Convention; Local Township Offices of Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, Trustees, Park Commissioners; Circuit Court Judge; and to vote on the following Proposals:
  • Proposition to Authorize the Renewal and Restoration of a .50-Mill road and Non-Motorized Millage
  • County Conservation District Millage Proposal

The polls will be open from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM. 

Polling Locations
The polling locations for the Primary Election are as follows:

  • Precinct 1: Pittsfield Township Administration Building - 6201 W. Michigan Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
  • Precinct 2: Carpenter Elementary School - 4250 Central Boulevard, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
  • Precinct 3: *Carpenter Elementary School - 4250 Central Boulevard, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
  • Precinct 4: *Carpenter Elementary School - 4250 Central Boulevard, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
  • Precinct 5: Ann Arbor District Library – Pittsfield Branch - 2359 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
  • Precinct 6: Arab American Cultural Center - 4377 Textile Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48197
  • Precinct 7: Pittsfield Township Community Center - 701 W. Ellsworth Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
  • Precinct 8: Pittsfield Township Administration Building - 6201 W. Michigan Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
  • Precinct 9: Pittsfield Township Community Center - 701 W. Ellsworth Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
  • Precinct 10: Arab American Cultural Center - 4377 Textile Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48197
  • Precinct 11: Saline High School - 1300 Campus Parkway, Saline, MI 48176
  • Precinct 12: Saline High School - 1300 Campus Parkway, Saline, MI 48176
  • Precinct 13: Carpenter Elementary School - 4250 Central Boulevard, Ann Arbor, MI 48108

*Precincts 3 and 4 have been temporarily relocated from Chinmaya Mission, 4760 Packard Street, to Carpenter Elementary School, 4250 Central Boulevard for the August Primary Election only.  

Please contact the Clerk's Office at 734.822.3120 or email elections@pittsfield-mi.gov if you have any questions about your polling location, registering to vote, or applying for an absentee ballot. 

Voter Registration 
The last day to register to vote in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk for the August 4, 2020 Primary Election is Monday, July 20, 2020. After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at the Pittsfield Charter Township Clerk's Office, 6201 W. Michigan Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48108 at the following times:

  • Regular business hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Election Day, August 4, 2020 from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM 

Absentee Voting 
To vote by Absent Voter Ballot, you must first submit a request through an Absent Voter Ballot Application, or through a written request. Absent Voter Ballot Applications may be submitted through Monday, August 3, 2020 at 4:00 PM, though registered voters who wish to receive an absent voter ballot by mail must submit applications to the Clerk’s Office by 5:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2020. 

For your convenience, the Clerk's Office will be open on Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to issue absent voter ballots in person. 

Completed absent voter ballot applications can be emailed to elections@pittsfield-mi.gov, mailed to Clerks Office - 6201 W. Michigan Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, placed in the dropbox the Administration Building (6201 W. Michigan Avenue) or submitted online through the Michigan Voter Information Center

New Absent Voter Ballot Envelopes 
Voters may notice that the absent voter ballot envelopes have been redesigned. Please contact the Clerk's Office at 734.822.3120 if you have any questions.
