WCRC: Closure of the Intersection of Textile Road and Woodland Drive to Begin Monday, June 29

WCRC
On Monday, June 29 the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close the intersection of Textile Road and Woodland Drive on the border of Pittsfield Township and the City of Saline to construct a single-lane roundabout. Once the intersection is closed and construction begins, the intersection will be closed to all traffic, including bicyclists and pedestrians, for approximately 8 weeks. Access to the Saline Recreation Center and Tefft Park will be maintained via Woodland Drive. Pedestrians should not cross through the project work zone from north of Textile Road to reach the Saline Recreation Center or Tefft Park.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission & City of Saline's roundabout project, while not in Pittsfield Township, will likely impact many Pittsfield residential neighborhoods. Pittsfield Township neighborhoods experiencing cut-through traffic during this period should contact Ritchie Coleman via email at colemanr@pittsfield-mi.gov or via phone at 734.822.4959. In case of an emergency requiring immediate police response, please call 911.

July 15 Project Update: The WCRC are making steady progress on the roundabout construction at the intersection of Textile Road and Woodland Drive in Pittsfield Township. They have completed installing the storm sewer and is now pouring concrete curb.
