NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that ZOA #22-223 The Walden PUD was adopted at the August 10, 2022 Board of Trustees Meeting, and takes effect September 9, 2022.

The Walden PUD

ADOPTED

ZONING ORDINANCE

BY AUTHORITY OF PUBLIC ACT #110 OF 2006, AS AMENDED, THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF PITTSFIELD, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, HEREBY ORDAINS:

ZOA #22-223 rezones two (2) parcels and part of a third parcel of real property located within the Township of Pittsfield, specifically L-12-13-300-018, L-12-13-300-019, and L-12-13-300-027 (portion) from R-1B, Single Family Suburban Residential, to a Planned Unit Development (PUD). The Walden PUD is a one (1) four-story multiple family dwelling structure containing 121 dwelling units and preservation of 17 acres of open space (83.7% of the site).

The Planning Commission held a public hearing on January 27, 2022, considered the planners report, considered public testimony, and directed staff to draft the necessary resolutions of approval. On June 2, 2022, the Planning Commission found that the Planned Unit Development standards were met, and voted 7-0 to recommend the resolutions of approval of the proposed Planned Unit Development for the Board of Trustees consideration.

Publication and Effective Date

This Ordinance shall be published in the manner as required by law. Except as otherwise provided by law, this Ordinance shall be effective upon the eighth day following final publication of the Ordinance or at such later date after publication as may be specified by the township board.

This Ordinance was duly adopted by the Pittsfield Charter Township Board at its regular meeting called and held on the 10th day of August, 2022, and was ordered given publication in the manner required by law.
