[ARCHIVED] National Night Out Safety Fair - August 2nd at Lillie Park South!

Join us for the Annual Free National Night Out Safety Fair to be held on August 2nd from 6-8PM at Lillie Park South (4365 Platt Road).

Special Invitation from the Director of Public Safety:

I wish to extend a special invitation this year to attend our annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 2nd at Lillie Park in Pittsfield Township. In light of tragic events taking place across the nation, the National Night Out event is a perfect opportunity to come together to support the strong, collaborative partnership that our Public Safety department (Police, Fire, E911 Dispatch) has with the community. It was a result of this collaborative spirit and hard work together that Pittsfield Township was recognized as the 40th safest community in the State of Michigan last year!

The mission of the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety is to provide exceptional fire, police and dispatch services to safeguard lives and property in our community while demonstrating the highest standards of leadership, professionalism and integrity, and to serve our community with compassion and dedication while respecting the rights and dignity of all persons.

Trust and legitimacy are built on a foundation of transparency, engagement and truly treating every person you meet equally, with the same kindness, dignity and respect that you would expect in return. All of our Public Safety personnel have worked very hard at doing this every day, and I believe we have earned the trust, respect and support of our community. The National Night Out event is an opportunity to celebrate this achievement and to reinforce our commitment to working collaboratively in partnership, building a stronger and safer community – together.

Cordially yours,

Matthew E. Harshberger,
Director of Public Safety
Pittsfield Charter Township
