Washtenaw County Road Commission: Carpenter Road Improvements- Bemis Rd. to Merritt Rd.
Beginning Monday, May 12, 2014, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will close Carpenter Road between Bemis Road and Merritt Road. The posted detour route will utilize Bemis Road west of Carpenter Road, Platt Road, and Michigan Avenue (U.S. 12) west of Carpenter Road. Access to property owners between Bemis and Merritt Roads will be provided from the north at the Merritt Road intersection. All other motorists and road users will be required to follow the posted detour route or use another alternative route.
Carpenter Road is expected to be reopened to traffic by Saturday, May 17th, or sooner. However, this date is tentative and is weather dependent.
