Where can I register to vote?: Township residents can register to vote online at the Michigan Voter Information Center or via mail or in-person at the Pittsfield Charter Township Clerk’s Office or at any Michigan Secretary of State Office. A change in your driver’s license address will produce a change in your voter registration address, and vice versa.

2. How do I get an Absentee Ballot?: All residents requesting to vote by mail must be registered to vote and fill out an Absent Voter Ballot Application with a valid signature for verification of voter identity. Applications can be submitted online at the Michigan Voter Information Center or printed and sent electronically to the Clerk’s Office, or mailed or dropped off at the Clerk’s Office.

3. How do I request information under the Freedom of Information Act?: A FOIA request can be made by filling out the appropriate form in the Clerk's Office, by sending a detailed written request by mail or fax (734) 944-8024, or by sending an email to the Clerk's Office

4. How long will it take for me to receive the FOIA Information requested?: The time that is allowed for a public body to respond to a FOIA request is five business days, starting on the day after the request is received (six if the request is received by mail or fax). Unclear requests receive a response within five business days of clarification. Complex requests may require a financial deposit and extended time for fulfillment.

5. Where can I get a copy of my Birth Certificate?: Certified copies of Birth, Death, and Marriage Records are available in the Vital Records Office of the county in which the event took place. Each county only maintains records for events (birth, death, and marriage) that take place within their boundaries. Requests can also be made by mail.

6. Where can I apply for a Marriage License?: Applications for marriage licenses are available at the Vital Records Office in the Washtenaw County Clerk's Office, 200 N. Main St. (at Ann St.) in Ann Arbor. For questions call 734.222.6720.

7. Who should I call with concerns about my cable company?: Consumers should first contact their video/cable provider to discuss their concern. If a resolution cannot be reached, contact the Michigan Public Service Commission, MPSC, for help in dealing with the video/cable provider. The State website provides more information about how to file a complaint and Public Act 2009 004. Choose the Video/Cable button from the left menu on the web page.

8. Who needs a Transient Merchant License?: Persons wishing to solicit and/or peddle in Pittsfield Township must first obtain a license. Applications are available online. Applicants are asked to carefully review all application information.
