Parks & Recreation News

Pittsfield Charter Township is committed to providing safe, high-quality programming for the community. The health and safety of our residents is our number one priority, and we’re developing innovative ways to continue to connect the people of Pittsfield with opportunities for healthy play and enrichment. We will continue to adhere to the most up-to-date recommendations and best practices as they evolve.

Please note the following updates to our programming:

Parks - All Township Parks, trails and greenways remain open from dawn – dusk daily. Public restrooms will be open after June 12. Play structures and disc golf courses at the Parks have been re-opened. Pavilion and athletic play field rentals have also resumed, subject to adherence with safety protocols.

For more information, please call 734-822-2120.

Youth - We are able to offer an assortment of outdoor activities and camps, including Tennis, Funtime Soccer Skills, Cheer, and outdoor Art, Farming, and Nature classes. Virtual classes and activities such as Karate, Hobby Quest’s STEAM/STEM classes, Bricks 4 Kidz, Tech Academy, and a variety of Art and Enrichment Activities are also available.

Unfortunately, we have determined that we are unable to offer Montibeller Park Day Camp this year due to lack of indoor programming space. Tumbling and weightlifting have also been cancelled, and youth sports leagues and dance classes have been postponed until the Fall.

For more information and registration, please visit  Youth Programs

Adult & Senior - Although our Community/Senior Center is currently closed (available by appointment only) outdoor activities for adults remain available, including Golf and Tennis. We’ve also made many of our popular activities accessible virtually, such as Cardio Drumming, Bingo, Book Club, Flower Arranging Club, Creative Writing, Tai Chi, classes through Washtenaw Community College, and many exercise classes for adults and seniors.

Our Senior Cafe Lunch Program is still operating, please call 734-822-2117 to learn more and order meals.
